Wide Telkom Outage?

There appears to be a massive Telkom outage across Joburg. Our switchboard lines and our ADSL is down.

We also have reports from customers of telephone lines not working in the Joburg CBD, Some parts of the East Rand (Spartan), and Joburg North (Rivonia).
Some Neotel lines also seem to be affected.

Anybody else without telephone lines?

Ours are up in Centurion. Standard copper, not fibre. Also no PRIs or BRIs.

There was a PBX issue yesterday.

I kept getting smses that there are Telkom faults in my area, even though I cancelled with them over two months ago. Seems it is pretty widespread.

My Telkom ADSL line is today dead for 12 days [Mosselbay] reported it in store and online and no reply no help for 12 days now. Apparently Openserve do as they wish and have no customer support I was told on one of my five visits to the store.

Very unprofessional of Telkom to tell you this, Openserve is their baby and you have no contract with openserve, anyway they must be as frustrated as you are.
