I'm very out of practice as it's been years since I did any real training... so I wont give too much input on this topic.

One of my issues was always my shoulders. Something I have learned is that genetics play a huge role. I have naturally broad shoulders and alot of people think they're huge in terms of training. I on the other hand struggle to get them nice and rounded especially the struggle of the rear. I've tried all different exercises and seen very little results in terms of what I'm aiming for. All my lack of results has pointed me to genetics.

Before someone else comes along and says form or incorrect exercises, please note that fitness and power lifting was a sport for me since high school years. I think it's safe to say that I've mastered most exercises over the years of training. If that's not enough, my older brother is also a personal trainer. We've trained together plenty of times doing the same exercises. This is especially where we could see the genetics come to play. We have totally different builds and got our biggest results in different areas. Like my arms would blow up in size along with my glutes, yet my calves would barely see results where he's would explode and his arms didn't see much in terms if growth but the definition would be insane. Shoulders was another area where he would get insane results and it made me look as if I wasn't even training my shoulders in comparison to him, yet when it came to strength I would be ahead in the shoulders department.

Also takes me back to when I was about 15 or16. I approached guys for help around the calves. Every guy with huge calves gave me their "secrets" except one famous body builder (back then) who also explained genetics. He used himself as an example and explained how lucky he was in terms of growth whereas others in the same class would train harder than him but with less results. I didn't quite understand Shameen back then, but later in life it made more sense as I became more experienced.

I have always struggled with shoulders as well although it is hard for me now to determine if it was the way I was training and especially isolating the shoulders correctly.
My shoulders literally exploded when I took gear which is related to the higher concentration of androgen receptors. Since then even when I am not on gear my shoulders are quite large and defined.
I have adapted my training methods so I am now not sure if it is training now that is keeping them this way or some kind of muscle memory from the gear or a combination of both.

Also, calves can seriously go to hell. I have tried everything under the sun to develop calves and the effort vs reward is pretty demoralizing

Hahaha I hated calves!!

As for fear, another topic on it's own. Shoulders are always a quick tell tale for me as to when guys start using gear.
I'm assuming you're on the gear forums as well?

Yeah, I actually had to be careful of shoulder training when I was on because it just got so disproportionate. Looked ridiculous.

On some of the other forums but not particularly active anymore. I kinda experimented with most things, figured out what worked for me and just do my thing.
