1. Which channels show widescreen programs on DSTV?
2. How do you know if a show or movie is available on widescreen, does it have an icon or something in the info bar?
3. Would I leave my widescreen Plasma on 16:9 permanently?
4. Do I need to change any settings on my SD PVR decoder?

1. MM1 (not always?) and BBC World
2. BBC World is always WS. On MM1, look at the "info" of the movie - hopefully says WS (widescreen) and DD (Dolby Digital) :)
3. Yes, you can set your plasma to 16:9
4. Setup your decoder to 16:9 (and pillar box for 4:3) under the TV installation menu. When viwing a channel, press "alt" then "tv guide", and the different display mode is changed (cropped, letterbox, etc). This way you should get full screen on your plasma for WS movies, etc. And black bars down the side of other channels (with the 4:3 picture in the middle).

MM1 is WS 90% of the time, MM2 is also WS for maybe 30% of the movies
Animax is also WS sometimes, and some German channel

MC says there could be 8 more WS channels in the next 5 months or so, we'll see...

I tried the 'Alt' then 'tv guide' buttons, but it did nothing. I also tried to press them together, still nothing. I have the SD PVR decoder ... any advise? Does anything appear on screen to indicate the switch, or does it just happen?
