Robert Schumann composed the lied Widmung in 1840, the year he married Clara Wieck. "Widmung" is a German word that means "dedication". The music was set to a poem by Friederich Rückert:
According to the movie Song Of Love, Widmung was a wedding gift by the financially struggling Schumann for Clara.
Franz Liszt later transcribed it for piano. Here is the Liszt transcription played by Jorge Bolet:

I think this music is very beautiful.
You are my soul, my heart, my ecstasy and my pain
You are my world in which I live,
my heaven into which I am suspended,
my good spirit, my better self.
