Wierd bug: Laptop keeps going into standby.

Got a old Toshiba Satellite in to work on.... either the banged up keyboard keeps pressing something or there is something wrong with the HDD or something.

I even put ALL power saving settings on NEVER when plugged in. This seems to have kept most of whatever causes it to diminish.

But now it still keeps going into standby with every shutdown, reboot.... and boot. wtf

OS: LM 19.3 XFCE

I am suspecting possible HDD fail? So far the other steps I took was full update and upgrade from 19.2 and now a full fsck.

Now with a startup I counted.... it happened 3 times before login screen ffs

Bad battery? Remove it and see what happens.

Client took it back after I updated it... said he's used to it doing that by now, it's too old to worry about.

Still..... never seen this before. I wonder if the lid sensor is damaged or dirty.
