I got a D500 and for some reason it gives me "limited service" but as soon as i put my sim into my old 6600 it works fine. Is my phoneblack listed or what?

i got the phone from a good mate of mine and he gave me the box, with all papper incl receipt from vodaworld. The phones has been working for the past 2 months and now this crap shows up. lol... i wouldnt be surprised if it is stolen. But im sure there is a way to get around it by mabey reflashing the firmware and changing the IMEI code

i had the same problem with a Samsung X600. the phone would also just switch off by itself.

when i took it back, they told me it got water damage and was damaged "beyond economical repair". i told them that the phone did not touch water. techy told me that it could occur if there is a lot of moisture in the air or from "sweaty palms"?!

what kind of company designs cellphone hardware that gets affected by moisture in the air??? i will never buy a samsung again!!

btw. i searched on the net to see if other ppl experienced the same. i found atleast 20 other users who had the same problem. most of them were able to swop their phones out for a diffrent phone/model... but no, not is SA, here the consumer pays if a company makes a mistake!!

Just a sidenote, changing IMEI of a phone is illegal in most countries.

The WORST phone ever made is the Motorola v300, had it for a year, what a piece of ****!

Nokia does and they are a European Country where it is very cold in winter. When you live in Europe when you go shopping you walk from sub zero temperatures outside to 20+ degrees in the shops - condensation is going to happen if the phone is not designed properly but still they don't honour the guarantee if they suspect water damage.
