good day. i am looking for a wifi antenna that will allow me to connect to another antenna on the other side of a building thats in the way. the offending building is the sanbel building in bellville near kuilsriver. as far as i can guess only the floors, support columns, bathrooms and lift shafts would be concrete. the walls would all be dry wall. a friend suggested that the 5ghz rocket mimo airmax from ubiquity might work. but the stockist says that although the antenna is good, its not that good. any help would be appreciated. thank you.

Thank you ITbob. I emailed Poynting for more information.

jak3. i wouldnt be able to purchase any of those antennas without knowing if they will be able to connect through a medium sized building.

Hopefully somebody will be able to point me in the right direction, or Poynting has a solution.

Of first of all, 5ghz dont even go through a dry leaf, you need 2.4 and then youre going trough a building. that just aint gonna cut it. remember, radio comms ( wifi ) is a 2way street, and whatever hoops you have to jump through to get your signal out the other side, chances are the other side has to employ the same fandangling to get the returning signal back to you....
