WIFI antenna plus ap setup

HI there. Anybody got a good setup for a directional antenna plus ap?
Looking to spend max about 1500 on it but want it to be able to be useful to connect to other ppl also(not just the 2 links i will make)

Currently there's no point in me getting an omni seeing as the place where i can put up the antenna would only face one direction, so a directional or sector seems to be the best bet.

So if you got any
Good antenna. (linky pls or model name)
Good ap. (model or link)

Would prefer it to be poe able just cause it will reduce cable clutter a lot. but if not i don't mind that much.

Antenna - Look at http://www.ponyting.co.za to see what sort of antenna would be best. Good idea to stay away from the Omni or you may find people chasing you with it and trying to beat you over the head with it.

AP - Linksys WRT54G v3.1 or v4 if you can't find one wait a bit and get the WRT54GL do NOT get the the v5

make your own homebrew poe to run to your AP.

Depending on the distance you want to link and the angle to the other "clients" look carefully at the beam width angles of the antenna's. In hindsight after setting up a 24 db grid , i would rather have gone with a 18 db sector panel which has a better spread for connecting.
Before you spend your money research all the sites and research again.
Also go onto the irc.

There are many decent IRC clients available, and these will give you the best irc experience
Download MIRC and then click on irc://irc.jawug.za.net/wnet. The guys here can give you all the advice you need .

Was thinking bout getting a sector since omni would be pointless and parabolic might prove to be just too focused. I've got a person below me at bout a 30' angle that i need to connect to and also another at bout 5' degrees to the left.
Any places anyone knows close to cape town that sells the linksys?
