wifi client auto change channel?

Hi

I have a lot of noise in my area and I want to frequently change the channel that my wifi network runs on... from my pc I can access the AP's web interface to change the channel but I obviously cannot access the wrt54gl's web interface because it is in client mode..

Is there a way to program my wrt54gl's ( running tomato firmware in client mode) to automatically change their channel to that of the AP?

most of them should follow the ssid of the ap, so if ap is changed then client should follow the channel of the ap.

works with openwrt and friefunk (based on openwrt)
I have found that it does not always reconnect if there a huge channel jump from 1 to say 13. but maybe it was just me
