Hi guys, i have a client that has a guesthouse and he has a few other homes on the property as well, he has a standard netgear router in the main house but the problem is that router is about 80m away from all the other outbuildings and he needs wifi all around the property. he only has adsl, iburst is not supported in his area is there any way i can boost his wifi with an antenna or something that will broadcast straight from the router to the rest of the buildings? theres no way of moving the router an he doesnt want too many extenders in the house.

You can try a big ass omni antenna but at the price it's probably better to just get some flat panel antennas and a few more wifi points

Over 80 meters throught walls any antenna is going to get sketchy when consumer devices like phones, laptops and tablets has to talk back.

If the whole property is on one power phase you can use powerline adapters to bridge the two buildings then install one high powered AP like the Uni-FI and hope it's enough. If there's not many houses you could also get an adapter with integrated wifi for each house.

Having said all that you should ideally post a map or some pics of the property so we can give you a better recommendation.
Going cheap with wifi usualy ends up giving you more problems than it's worth.

You can use the Unfi APs but I would recommend using them in conjunction with Point-to-Point units such as The Engenius ENS202.

I have personally installed such a setup. The one ENS202 is plugged into the router, then the other is installed on the outbuilding. Set one up as an AP and the other as a client bridge. Then inside you run the ENS202's cable to its POE injector, then connect a short cable from it to the LAN port of the UniFi AP's POE injector and then install the UniFi AP (I always suggest the Long Range Units for that extra transmission power).

The ENS202s can be configure using the web configurator of each one but the UniFi must be done using the Ubiquity software.

And if you are not sure how to do this call PM me and you could subcontract the work to my company..if you are in Gauteng.

Ubiquity have some good cheap ptp equipment. I would reccommend sticking with the same brand

There will be no conflict between brands. In fact I installed that setup over 12 months ago and its been working flawlessly.
I didn't say there would be conflict. Am just pointing out that the same can be achieved with the same brand
