I've built a backpack that I carry around, has 4 modems with 1 x telkom , 1 x rain , 1 x voda and 1 x mtn, it binds them all together , acts as a wifi hotspot. All runs on 5v. I use it to live stream video and it can hold a connection while driving between towns

Didn't Vodacom or MTN offer such services to minibus taxis a while back. You might want to contact them.

You could use those mobile dongles from telkom or MTN etc. Those work quite well.

Vodacom 20GB = R999... That lasts about 1 day in a tourist environment. Just leave the WiFi off entirely.

This was our end decision, it is an extremely expensive thing to do unless having a sponsor of some sort.
