Hi All

I have the following strange problem, and would love to find a solution, so any help would be hugely appreciated.
As soon as a Mac Book Pro connects to the LAN over wifi, the whole network seems to stop working.(ie all other devices connections drop).

Once the Mac is disconnected, everything seems fine again.

I'm using a Telkom Billion 800VGT Router.

BTW, there are Iphones and Ipads connected to the network that doesn't cause any problems, It's only the Mac Book Pro that caused the issue.

I've also tries upgrading the router's firmware, with no luck.

Anyone have a solution (other than throwing my brothers Mac into the bin - cause that's what I'm thinking of doing at the moment ;)

Thanks

Pardon the obvious but did you check if the mac is downloading or updating anything?

LOL

Yes thats not the problem.

I've actually had the problem for a number of years.
I had this issue at my house, and after trying everything, I decided to buy a new router - which fixed the problem. (Old router was also Billion, but different model)

The problem now is at my parents house, and both myself and my brother (who has the problematic MAC) are here at the moment, as soon as he connects, everything goes down.

What IP address does the Mac get?

10.0.0.108

Below are all items on the network.

IP Address Interface Static
10.0.0.102 iplan no
10.0.0.104 iplan no
10.0.0.106 iplan no
10.0.0.108 iplan no
10.0.0.112 iplan no
10.0.0.113 iplan no

What version of OS X does it have? If Lion or greater try option clicking the airport menubar icon and select wireless diagnostics.
