Wifi losing internet connection - Dell laptops / Win 10

Try this in cmd , used to have the same problem with my laptop and this seemed to help :
Code: 
"netsh winsock reset" and press Enter.
"netsh int ip reset" and press Enter.
"ipconfig /release" and press Enter.
"ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.
"ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.
 
Maybe the card is different to the one installed, pop off the bottom case and inspect or use a HW scanner to identify it.


I would use Snappy driver installer to install its drivers.

Had an issue with a Dell and HP recently. Both would disconnect form wifi at times. And once this starts to disconnect, I had to reboot the router before I could get a stable link again.

The channel was set to auto. I forced it to a spesific channel and have not had an issue since.

They remain associated to the IP, but their laptops report no internet connection. Cycling the wifi switch on the laptop resolves the issue (temporarily)
The APs are Unifis running the latest firmware. Laptops are up to date, device manager shows no updates available for WLAN card drivers.
"Allow windows to shut down device to save power" is disabled.
My other wifi devices (there are currently 16 on the network) don't exhibit this behaviour.

Any ideas would be welcomed.

Silly idea, but try perhaps hardset name servers?
 
Check your WiFi channels for overlap and freq usage. Had a similar issue - also running unifi ac mesh (have 3). Suspect it has something to do with freq range support of the laptops.

1 and 6 on the two aps near the study...
 
try disable power saving on the ubnt ap, maybe the laptops have issues with it.

do generic drivers install if you boot after uninstalling the manufacturer drivers? have you tried them?

try a different or static channel width instead of auto

I've ordered two wifi dongles from wootware. Will see how those go.
