Wifi password hacked!

I need some help.

My WiFi setup, is controlled at the service provider. I gave them the password for my access. So I cannot change the password by going into the router. I cannot set up a guest network to enable others to join my wifi.

So here is the problem. Just the other day I gave the password to a person that I know fairly well, who stays on the same property as myself. I put the passcode onto his phone without him seeing it.

I have WiFiman app on my phone and can see who is connected or not. I recognised the hookup that evening, but tonight a desktop icon appeared on WiFiman. I gave access to his phone only, how is it possible that he got his desktop connected to my wifi?

Is it possible that he could use an app to access the password behind the asterisk symbols? Isn’t this illegal?

What should I do?

My Service and network provider is Vaalnetworking.
 
Only thing you can do seeing that you do not have access to the router is ask the ISP to reset the password.
If you had access to the router you could either reset it yourself or block him

Desktop tethered by usb cable to phone, Router then sees PC not phone. Password remain on phone.

This. Ask the ISP for access/reset wifi password(s). They are usually happy to assist.

There are a few apps that let you see the passwords on your phone for various wifi networks. Its not that hard. Best bet is to just get the password changed.

No app required on iphone at least. It’s linked to your icloud account and any saved password is accessible.

Sharing something you cannot control is your first mistake. Also you can bridge the connection from the phone to a pc/laptop.

And if anyone has any smarts Kali can get into any WIFI as it sniffs the smart packets. Used to be doable on Windows jonks ago but the defs seemed to have moved on to linux for more anonimity.
 
Anyone connected to your WiFi can share the network by going to the WiFi settings on the phone.
It displays a QR code and the other client just needs to scan it to connect.
