Wifi password hacked!

Tell Frikkie, or whoever decided to lock you out of a Home ISP router "for security" to change the password.
OR, insist on getting access to change the password to your preferred value

I sort of figured out that the password would need to change. I will speak to the SP this morning.

Sooo, On Samsung I know one can just go to phones wifi settings and see the password of current/passed networks I joined. I think the same can be said for other brands. You should ask Vaalnetworking if they can just setup a guest network for your guests shouldn't be a problem that or they are full of themselves,

He tethered his PC to his phone and is accessing your WiFi that way.

Don't worry about it.

I wouldn't dish out my wifi to my neighbour. Essentially they're a stranger - who knows what they'll use it for. Even at my offices I have a separate AP for clients that is fenced off from my network and has specific monitoring on it & rules.

Maybe tell OP that? I'm not the one needing advice here.
 
Had this funny MAC connected on my network and was pulling quite a fair amount of data 48:7e:48:3b:ec:cc.

Blocked it, any one recognise the vendor Earda Technologies co Ltd?
 
Wait what ISP won’t let you have admin login to your own router/ap? I would tell them to fly a kite.

Its pretty common, what the OP should be doing is asking them to disable WiFi and then use his own AP's.
 
Why care though?

You gave them the access on their phone so you were happy to have them on the network so why does a different device matter?

As long as it’s an uncapped connection you aren’t losing anything.

Ever since I’ve gotten solar I’ve been running an open SSID called “Load Shedding” for all my neighbours to use which has been going for the past three years even though load shedding hardly happens any more.

Makes no difference to me and makes someone else’s life easier.

^this, it's not hacking. It's easy to share and see the password.
