Hi

Is it safe to enable remote access with an AP even tho WPA encryption is being used?

How dangerous is an Denial of service attack with WPA? Should I disable WPA just in case?

Thanks

if WPA is being used, someone connected to your network can still access the AP so it is not safe..... but certainly safer then no encryption at all.

not sure i understand what you mean about DOS with WPA but there are other ways of disrupting a wireless network without having remote access to the APs whether WPA is on or not

DOS,

http://www.networkworld.com/research/2003/0331wpa.html?page=2
"WPA fixes all known problems with WEP, except denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
Potential DoS attacks are a significant risk for any application where loss of wireless LAN access affects life, profits or reputation. A hacker easily can bring down a WPA-protected network by sending at least two packets using the wrong key each second. "

What other ways are there of disrupting AP? thanks

interesting you learn new things every day. you send deauths to an AP that will disconnect clients.
