Wii channels (not games or hardware)

Those of you with Wiis, what are the channels like. I'm really interested in the news channel and the internet channel running opera.

Also, does anyone know the quality of the DS opera internet program?

The Channels are kinda cool

The Shopping channel

Very slow in South africa for me anyway. It connects slow and you have to
set your router to Channel 1 or 11 for it to work in most cases.
But VC games are very nice . I like it because you cannot cheat anymore using save states and whatnot..so we will have to become good in games all over again

Internet channel.

This channel is just internet browing , you can zoom in and out to read better.You can save favourites and do all stuff on pc EXCEPT you cannot save pics or download anything. Most cookies dont work so far..so no use logging into this site for example

News channel

A real sweet one. Gives you news and you see where it's coming from on the globe. Very very nice.

Forecast channel.

Gives you weather. What is cool though is some games use this weather to change the games weather.

I got my adsl hooked up last night and gave it a bash..have loaded some wii points but not bought anything yet....will prob do so this evening....

Other than that the Wii channel thing is pretty fcukin cool....am however intereseted in what IGN has predicted or "suggested" re the future of the Wii Channels. Amongst others, it has suggested a DS demo channel where you can download DS games to your Wii and try them out before you buy them....the only thing about this tho is that in order to try them out you have to have another TV and put that one on top of the other, using your wiimote on the bottom tv at the stylus ......Dont know bout you but I only have one TV...

Kidding, the obvious truth is that once you have downloaded it to yoru Wii you t/fer it to your DS wirelessly and then give it a bash!!!
