Guys!

Quick!

I found an Wii for sale in south africa, it's a NTSC version...

Whats the difference between the PAL and the NTSC versions.

Please help me, I'm going to buy one at lunch if the news is good.

I'll let you know where it is if there are any left and you help me.

Basically the games would have to be imported from the US or Asia depending what NTSC region it is from.
 
And when/if the Wii get's released here yours will not be covered by the local supplier...

Where did you find it?
 
It's the when/if part that bothers me....

Any new LCD or Plasma should be able to play the NTSC. Just ask the shop if the LCD/Plasma is a multi system display. Just make sure if you buy games for the WII(NTSC-US) console, that it is a US-NTSC game.

I've got a Xbox360 (PAL) and a WII (US-NTSC) and it works great on my LCD. You can get good US-NTSC games from www.play-asia.com and they deliver usually in two weeks.
 
You'll need a err.. can't remember, some converter, I saw one at a new world the other day for R60, you should be able to get it quite easily in CT too. It's no biggie...

Step down converter!!!!! That's it :D

You can get games from take2 too.

You would need to buy a power converter. Not sure where you can buy one. I bought mine overseas, before flying back. I'm sure any electrical shop can help you or maybe the guy selling the Wii would have one for you.
