wii games not loading

i have a number of games which are recognised on the wii home screen but when i try to load them i always get the error to remove the disk and restart. the games fail to load

Where did you buy them? (ie the games) what region is your Wii encoded for and where did you buy your games?

games from malaysia, wii from canada, dunno about the encoding- how do i check?

It's on the cover of the game nstc or pal
Console and games must be the same region to work.

PLUS, if you bought the games in Malaysia there is a chance that they could be counterfeit... thats why I asked THAT question. But check the regional encoding and depending on where you bought them, ie a store or off the srteets, check teh packaging.. they may be counterfiet, in which case they could be blank DVD's or whatever..

In my experience you buy the copy games in stores in Kuala Lumpur.
