Wii mod chip - Cape Town

Try defcon5 and chip the WII.We simply can not wait 6 months for the latest games to be available locally.Most online shops may offer some of the latest games but we have to wait 20 days so that they can source it from the UK.
I think it's pathetic and another reason to go the pirates way.
 
I think jmulder01 has forgotten that he lives in Africa and not some first world country. Maybe someone should let him when it comes to gaming we aren't even a spec on the radar.

I've bought some games here and some via take2. The 15 day doesn't bother me as I have plenty of back log to go through.
 
i have done the soft mod and so far so good...

upgrading pro's:
*of course you are able to play back ups of any WII title
*you can create you own back ups on your console from your original games (keeping the disc in perfect condition)
*if you have kids the ability to play from external HDD (no disc's for them to scratch)
*also create a media centre channel allows you to watch movies and play music
*homebrew channel (google it to find out the functionality this brings)
*does not void your warranty, as no chip is inserted to the console

*could render your console a paper weight! through updates
*not recommended for those who consoles are connected to the internet on a constantly with auto update!

but does have the ability to block updates from the disc and online so in a sense could stop the bricking from happening!

its done at your own risk, but the pay off is worth it!
