WikiLeaks to share CIA hacking tools with tech firms

Remember that time the FBI "asked" apple to help them get into that guy's phone?
:crylaugh:

The CIA has so far declined to comment directly on the authenticity of the leak, but in a statement issued on Wednesday it said such releases are damaging because they equip adversaries “with tools and information to do us harm.”

(Because WikiLeaks is known for putting out BS, right?)
You are the "adversaries with tools and information to do us harm”. :erm:

“And there are questions as to how useful this collaboration will be considering that US intelligence officials say much of the data and documents published detailed techniques that are over two years old, a lot of the software has already been outdated and those flaws have been fixed.”

Nice deflection.
No matter how many years ago this was, the fact of the matter is you did it...recently!
On top of that, the cat is completely out of the bag WRT spying on people / anyone.

Oh and, of course, let's not forget: "The Russians did it!"

In response to Assange’s news conference, CIA spokeswoman Heather Fritz Horniak said: “As we’ve said previously, Julian Assange is not exactly a bastion of truth and integrity. Despite the efforts of Assange and his ilk, CIA continues to aggressively collect foreign intelligence overseas to protect America from terrorists, hostile nation states and other adversaries.”

You know they don't have any footing if they are resorting to ad hominem arguments...

Jirre that stock image reminds me of those porn sites that claim to have hacked people's private emails and computers to steal their homemade porn.
