Wikipedia editors in decline

Wikipedia is losing many of its English-language editors, crippling its ability to keep pace with its mission as a source of knowledge online

While I use Wikipedia for looking stuff up all the time, often the citations are rather suspect to say the least. Needless to say one cannot use it for anything academic, unless passing through to use the citation links as possible sources.

If they want more editors they should make an easier editing system. You can expect some historian to know mark up code.

Well you cant copy it word for word for anything academic, but you can use it as an excellent overview of the topic to point you in the right direction. Its an encyclopedia (and a pretty accurate one at that). It does what its meant to do.
