wikipedia?

I seem to be unable to acess http://www.wikipedia.org/ using I BURST, i tried on my mtn 3g its fine any one else want to test this for me ...
Yep, I have a hassle getting to el Wiki too .. by itBust DNS at any rate. When I switch over to GOOG DNS (8.8.8.8) with OpenDNS as 2nd (on my office WaRT running dd-wrt) it's still slow but gets there ..eventually. Also, up until I tried GOOG DNS I was utterly unable to load http://www.vexon.co.za. I'm not having the same hassle with the other sites I'm loading/reading. Late(r) correction: http://www.promise.com/ is also an exercise in patience and frustration!
Working. ADSL...Cybersmart. Are you maybe capped?
itBust capping doesn't work like that, while you have capacity you have access to everywhere.

Feedback is that we have tested on iBurst modem and wikipedia. Please confirm and test that you have done a forced refresh. We had some data centre issues during the day yesterday that was posted in the notices, that would have caused some hiccups.

My access *times* to el wiki and the Promise site have returned to normal.

Loads very slow.

I'm getting timeouts and DNS errors on almost all pages, including News24, Rapidshare, Facebook and Wikipedia!?!??!

I've also had a rather large number of DNS lookups fail due to packet loss or slow response. I run my own BIND-9 server.

Investigating. Will revert with feedback.
Will revert ...TO WHAT?! Are you a man by day, some other creature by night - some kind of underwear-as-outerwear pervert ..closeted in some other way? I defy you to find a common-usage dictionary source/reference that includes the gross bastardisation of the word you used here.

Yes, I am some kind of kind of underwear-as-outerwear pervert but at least I am not a grammar nazi!

BTW: The feedback is that we have identified some faulty kit that had developed an intermittent fault due to yesterday's unexpected power outage at our hosting provider.

And you cast that as "at least..." - oh well, caring about correct presentation isn't for everyone. FYI, 'gratz on coming out as a underwear-as-outerwear pervert - what's the costume look like? :P

That sounds like hardware went flaky as a result of what it was subjected to - fair enough, it happens. Is said hardware being replaced so this problem goes away permanently?
