Good evening all.

Have any of you ever used any Wileyfox devices ? (see https://wileyfox.com/collections/smartphones)

Their basically what you would have if you rooted your samsung and loaded cyanogen on the phone , but this phone is built with it.

Their dirt cheap, like R3k for a phone, what I would like to know is if anyone maybe reading this, have ever used one ?

I am sure there would be issues with banking apps for example ? I don't know if any banks doing OS checks would accept loading on a cyanogen os phone, or perhaps someone reading this knows some more about this ?

My reason for considering a Wileyfox, is its a debloated phone in terms of apps that generally run by default on a Samsung wouldnt even be installed on a Wileyfox.

Hows the user experience and battery life ?

Would love to hear from people who have used one before.

My brother had one for a few years. Was okay with mediocre battery life. The devices on their website look like they haven't been updated in years. I wasn't even aware that they'd climbed out of their bankruptcy or whatever took them down. You're better off with some entry-level Samsung/Xiaomi/Huawei thing probably.

I had one a few years ago, and also a family member. Good build quality back then, and updates were released very fast. Then Wileyfox went bankrupt and everything seemed to slow down. Family member's phone developed hardware issues (light sensor), and my own one's battery life wasn't great (was good for around 18 months). I replaced it with a Xiaomi running Android One.
I have no idea how good they are now.
