Every year it is being said that 'next year' will be Arsenals year once their young team comes into its prime but if they keep this up and are forced to sell and keep bringing new youngsters through there is a danger that they could fall further behind the top teams.


Wenger has undoubtedly been one of the top managers in the history of the league but will he ever lift the trophy again?

anyway, it hasnt been such a bad transfer season, swapping hleb for nasri is an amazing deal.. hleb is a great dribbler but thats it..
nasri has that and more...
wenger will sign a decent defensive midfielder to replace flamini, there is still a month and a bit to go for the transfer season

dont join the annoying 'dooms day' bandwagon that the press loves to write about

there are more positives than negatives

Its like we have to do this over every single year, last year everyone was saying Arsenal will get relegated cos of Thierrys departure
 
look arsene wenger has been a top manager and is a top manager but the difference between a team like arsenal and man united is that united will think nothing of blowing 30m on a player, even a defender like ferdinand

man united know that buying talent and paying alot of money for players will bring trophies which will in return bring in loads of cash

for some reason arsene thinks its better to buy players for 900k and sell them 10m than buy players for 12m and sell them for 100m :)

the sad thing is, if arsene would just buy expensive players they could not doubt win just about any comp

arsenal had a great season, their downfall was the small squad and poor back up players, which i always though would be a problem

this proved true when a few key players got injured, their season imploded because they have very few great subs that can play amazing footie

also adebayor lost his form which meant arsenal had no real way of scoring, i dont know if this had to do with ade not getting as much great service or just losing his mojo :)

well i would not say he is king, maybe arsene gets limited by the club

i mean if its him who does not like spending big then yes fergie is king
 
Ya ffs, I was reading this thinking what are you people on about.
Arsenal under Wenger have won it in 97,2002 and 2004.That is a good record for any team and proves the way he manages his team is a winning formula.I give respect to him for sticking with his wage cap, clubs are paying stupid money for players that are not even worth half what they asking for.

we are on about the fact that arsenal should spend money and become the club we all know they can become

they have a great manager and with some great talent he could turn them into the best or close it in the world like, united, milan and madrid
