04-12-2008) announced the news of the development into EDGE speed increase. EDGE is now available @ 596kbps only through Nokia-Siemens. They have stated its just a Software upgrade to the Base Stations.
If Cell-C does the upgrade and improves their backhauling. They can play in the broadband space with the Big Guns as well and Compete on Price
