Will non IBM branded memory work in a IBM Thinkcentre

Need to upgrade the memory on a IBM thinkcentre M52 9210 desktop - will any brand memory work? Im sure I heard that it will only work with IBM branded stuff or am I smoking the good stuff? Help appreciated!

Answer is yes, make sure the ram specs match up.

IBM is smoking the good stuff.

Just make sure you buy the right type of RAM for your motherboard... If it uses DDR2 RAM, make sure you buy DDR2 RAM etc.

I can't say what this would do to your warranty, if you have one, though. Read the fine print.

Not under warranty - I currently have 2x 512MB modules, want to upgrade it to max. Although it runs W7 perfectly as it is (its a P4 3.0 ghz HT). Great machine.
