I would also really like to know this,

Really eager to get this phone.

Any HTC reps in here ? (maybe wishful thinking)

The one X+ is the upgraded version..so why pay for the one x if you can get a beefier one X+ for the same price and a little patients..

That is if SA gets the One X +...

MTN always get the HTC phones first....maybe give them a call?

Yes! + They would have learned from the HTC one X's flaws and improved it on the one X+.

Also my brother has the Samsung Galaxy 3, and has been rubbing it in my face. Revenge will be sweet.

And they call me childish :-P

haha.....I doubt if you would be able to impress your brother, the S3 is a formidable smartphone.

Maybe in looks, but I promise you that you'll feel the One X+ feels huge in your hand, while the S3 actually feels small.

I've played with the One X and S3, so not trying to stir things up, just sharing what I've experienced.

I'm wanting to upgrade. I was going for the s3 then saw the one x+. I had the one x but returned it due to the WiFi issue.
I'm really torn here. Loved the one x, both are great phones. But for me the HTC look and feel is better.

Then trust your gut feeling and go for the Onc X+. :)

I don't like to push it down people's throats, but Sense 4 thumps Touchwiz any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Hell, even the calendar widget on the Wildfire S looks better than the Touchwiz one!

I've learnt to live with Touchwiz, but have basically stripped everything Touchwiz off my Galaxy S2....running a custom launcher (Nova) and custom weather widget (Fancy Widgets).

You never have to do that on a HTC phone, it's just beautiful the way it is. ;)

To show you what I mean, here is my S2's home screen :

That looks a lot like my home screen on my desire HD when I use custom ROMs. I'm a fan of sense, but can live without it. A different launcher on the S3 might just do the trick. I need a new phone soon. Don't know if the one x+ is worth the wait over the s3. The S3 is perfect, I just like the HTC build more. But then I gain a card slot on the s3 as well. There's always a trade off I guess.
I'm thinking of just taking the s3 and going custom ROM.
If my desire hd's battery wasn't this crap I'd be using it as my primary phone. Instead it houses my 8ta 10gb and does its job as a wifi hot spot.

I really like the feel of the S3 in my hand, so my mind is already made up. ;)

Was also keen on the Lumia 920, but somehow I think it's gonna be insanely expensive.

And the Windows App Store is a bit too empty for my liking. :(

I'm thinking of just getting the s3 now. I don't feel like waiting. I just hope cell c has the full range of colours. I want the titanium grey.
I would have even settled for the s2 but the price difference is not enough to justify it over the s3.

You can get the S2 for R189 a month on a MTN contract, or buy it cash from 8ta for R3598.

i am intrigued. how does a phone smaller in lxw dimensions feel bigger?

H1X
Code:
134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm

H1X+
Code:
134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm

S3
Code:
136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm
and the reason i actually looked up the dimensions is because i have a hox. and having small hands, i can actually feel the s3 being adding to the problem. the phone dimensions from gsmarena above would seem to back my point.

Unfortunately the dimensions are not the whole story.

You need to hold both a S3 and the One X in your hand, that's the only way you'll really understand.

Like I said in an earlier thread, the S3 felt smaller in my hand than a S2 - it must be the rounded curves. :)

However, the One X feels like a big phone when holding it.

You need to go test for yourself. ;)
