briefly read it, and no, i dont think so, unless they take their VoIP option, and gives out handsets like that?

Not sure, remember, the handsets would primarily be for mobile connectivity, and the VoIP would just be a nice addition to the service....

however, if you look at how south africa is stuggling to give out licenses to "worthy" competitors, you'd think again

remember? there would have been 2 new cellphone providers, and at the end of the day they said, **** that, only 1 license...

same with telkom's competition...
 
Although I am sure that Telkom has a trick up their sleeve, with regards to an answer to the MyWireless product. Lets face it whats stopping them from aquiring a licence and also offering 3G wireless internet access.

Already they have setup their own hot spots around town and ADSL user can use their own ADSL user name and password to access them.
