Hi all

I was just about 2 sign a telkom 2 year contact in order to save R800 on a modem....

If I purchase my modem for cash and dont sign a contract... Will I be able to use the same adsl modem for the SNO (neotel)??

I assume that they will both be using an rj11 jack but not sure...?

Thanks

You can pick up a modem for less than 450 beans most places.

Don't ever sign any contracts with Telkom, for the modem Try BidorBuy
. I pickup one for R100, just click the linka above, signup/create an account if you don't already have one, and search for ADSL, there's a few to choose from;

I would assume Neotel would be setting up at least ADSL2(?+), but almost all modems on the market now support it. But as everyone says you would be absolutely mad to sign a 2yr contract with Telkom now, far too much is going to change in the next two years to be locked to the devil for the price of a ADSL modem.

i wont do it.
and if u look around u can pick up a router for cheap
(i can get a billion router for 200bucks brand new)
