Will Telkom increase Wimax speed?

Currently the speed offering from Telkom is 512, with all the excitement of ADSL customers being upgraded to higher speeds, will their wimax customers be left in the low speed doldrums?

I think the reason why they haven't done it yet, is cause then people will just insist on getting WiMax in stead of ADSL, because of cable theft and then they loose money, cause you don't pad line rental when using WiMax.

It's the only way to keep the monopoly going.

Or perhaps Telkom realise that they shouldn't oversell their capacity like Screamer did? A stable 512kbps connection is a 100x better than a crappy 1mbps connection.

True, but if they can handle 8mbps on adsl, surely they can do that on WiMax as well.

Would too many subscribers on a base station be a factor?

Actually I am thinking of taking adsl again (the 4mb option) and keep my wimax as a backup, seeing that at least twice a year they seem to be stealing or damaging the cables in my area
