The question should rather be. Is Disney able to produce quality programming to warrant subbing?

I'll want to check what they're offering. Our main interest will be their older films, 80s and earlier. I've seen almost all the Marvel and Star Wars stuff so that isn't a draw.

I'd consider trying Showmax again if they start streaming in 1080p with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound.

Just saw what stars offers.. Doesn't look to bad..

I currently have:
- Netflix
- Amazon Prime
- Apple TV+
- DSTV premium and that includes a Showmax subscription

Most of the viewing that I have done during the past year or so has been Netflix and Apple TV+. To me Netflix is probably the best, some of the stuff is rubbish but at least they have a constant stream of new releases and there is always something that you can watch. Apple TV+ has a lot less content, while there is also some rubbish on there it is mostly well made rubbish. I also rent early release movies from the Apple store using a US apple ID.

Prime does not really have anything that aligns with my tastes. I only watched The Boys, I know what you did last summer (series) and the Chris Pratt alien movie on Prime. The rest is mostly old movies/series or dramas. I may cancel Prime and replace it with Disney. Maybe Disney also offers the Hulu add-in in SA.

I have not watched anything on Showmax. The streaming and audio quality is just poor. DSTV is just used for Kyknet and the odd sport match.

The service that I would love to get in SA though is Shudder. Now that would be cool.
F**k NO!
Where do you guys get the time to watch all this crap?
And with Disney trying to force gender issues on 3-5 year old's in their offerings?

How many parents just let their kids stream this crap 24hrs a day?

Your parents allow you 24 hours access? That's risky, man
I'll rather let him watch TV, get bad influences from there which result in him committing heinous crimes and getting locked up by age 18, than have to cloth and feed him until I die. At least if he is locked up you taxpayers will share the cost of keeping him fed with a roof over his head.

No. It's time we stopped supporting organisations that don't have our best interests at heart. By this, I am referring to Disney's insistence that young kids be taught about sex and transgenderism at ages where they have no capacity to understand such talk.

Let's be clear: Any person - gay or straight - who talks to 5-year olds about their sex lives or preferences is a groomer.

We should keep our kids as far away from these people as possible.

I'm probably going to take some heat for this, but that's fine. It's KIDS we are talking about.

Really all depends on if their parental controls and curating of shows for different age groups is any good.

It’s something Netflix does very well, and shockingly Apple TV+ doesn’t manage to do at all even though they have parental controls built into everything and probably the best in the business at that.
