every tiny vote counts, democracy only works if politicians are held accountable to the misdeeds,
so Id vote if only to see the needle move that tiny bit away from the ANC.

assuming they dont try to rig the election or do some funny business as african politicians tend to do.

Definitely voting! If you want change, less corruption, accountability and service delivery, vote for it!
We have wanted all of these things for decades. Voting did not bring them into being. So, doing the same thing, over again, and expecting a different outcome is a fool's errand.

You vote is the only thing you can really control.
Nope.
I can control my environment, my money, and my happiness and whether I choose to ignore or interact. I can also control my medication, my outlook on life, and my worries. Fuk the ANC, and fuk the DA especially... especially that Hill-Lewis mofo...

I am actually somewhat sympathetic to what the Austalians do, which is compulsory voting.

In the US and Europe, the electorate consists of boomers, so what happens? You end up with the total luxury boomer communism states that they have.
Yes, and I think it should be like that... but no one wants to be the bad guy enforcing it.

maybe, but as I said before every vote counts, and every vote the ANC isnt getting is worth it.
also all the games and scandals and court cases and antics these politicians do, is exactly how they are punished.

All about education - this perpetual negativity BS isn't helping anyone and just deters youngsters from voting

Educate people to vote better, understand policies better and not just rely on color or culture when it comes to voting for a party

Look at their policies and help people to realise that certain parties are just talk and zero walk

Define, pretty well? Oh you mean, water pipe diameter tax... the recently scrapped cleaning levy... exorbitant parking charges, high taxes, and the stinky smell in various parts of Milnerton.. Gotcha ;-)
You get what you pay for. Go live in Jozi with daily water and electricity outages.

I'm away the entire week - special votes can only be cast the two days before the election.
