Will you chip your console????

I love this country!!!

I love this country!!!, were the only country in the world where Pirates ban together in their own defense, I think we should start a web site where Pirates can group together and share stories of how they chip consoles and download games and buy pirated games from wierd kids at flee markets.

At the same time we should start a web site for child molesters to get together and share stories of their sexual endevours, maybe if were lucky we might here a story of how they molested one of those wierd kids at the flea market selling pirated games...

Yes, it was hard to decide between murder, rape and piracy. But with piracy I get to wear an eye-patch.

i crack because I believe in try before buy.( no one wants to pay R300 for a pc game and then realize that trackmania is crap) and as well. i keep my originals safe.

How do you feel about losing the warranty on your R5500 PS3 by chipping it :confused:

They effectively don't exist for the last generation of consoles. In rare cases where I have seen them they were so pitiful they immediately put me off the game. In several cases games I later found out were actually really good.

Demos for PC games are also often a waste of time.

Given the choice between a warranty from SK that might as well not exist and a warranty from the professionals who chip the consoles I'd go with the latter. I'd never send my PS2 to SK. Instead I take it to someone that takes pride in their work and gets the job done fast.
 
Well...there will be no excuse to chip a PS3 unless you wanna play copied games...since PS3 will be region free on Games :)

It will of course have to apply to every single game - if publishers are allowed to make this choice rather than the hardware just having no support for regions, then there's a strong possibility that publishers will lock their games.

What's the situation on the Xbox 360?

And there'll have to be some way to defeat the region code on the movie playback otherwise the PS3 will be useless as a movie device.
