Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate are “very pleased” to announce that they are expecting their second child, Kensington Palace said.

The prince's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II was said to be “delighted” at the news, which comes less than 14 months after the birth of the couple's first child, Prince George.

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, is again suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a form of very acute morning sickness that caused her to be hospitalised when she was pregnant with George.

The duchess, 32, is currently being treated by doctors at the couple's London home in Kensington Palace, a spokesman said.

She was due to attend an official engagement in Oxford on Monday but cancelled because she has morning sickness, the palace said.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child,” the statement said.

“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

Prime Minister David Cameron was among the first to offer his congratulations to the couple, saying he was “delighted by the happy news that they're expecting another baby”.

William and Kate's first child, George Alexander Louis, was born on July 22, 2013 in London's St. Mary's Hospital, weighing eight pounds and six ounces (3.8kg).

Please post in this thread if you do not care about the British royal family. Because you know you want to :D

Man, she's hawt. She would be popping once a year if I was with her :D

Think William has some sperm problem. Why did it take 14 months?

Ah, so the prince tasted it and liked it and wants more...... hmmmm....

+1, that is one fine lady.

Clearly they wanted to get the "work" of the marriage over as quickly as possible. Squeeze out a heir and a backup as quickly as you can.

I do care.

And I do care about the monarchy.

Many people shun the idea of royalty because of a morbid preoccupation with the violence and human rights violations that existed in feudal times and of our concept of freedom and democracy, but what they don't realise is that many years when people didn't have the philosphical sophistication that we have today, monarchies were the only political stabilizing factor that existed. Anarchy would have existed otherwise. Democracies like we have today would have been impossible back then.

So for this reason I appreciate the current British monarchy, I value it's cultural contribution and I celebrate the arrival of a new baby.

The British Royal Family does not bother me. The majority of Brits are happy with them and unlike our royals they actually add value to the UK and don't just soak up tax-payers money, so I 'spose they are a-okay.

I was just commenting on the people that show up in a thread and feel strongly enough about something to tell you just how much they don't care about it.

I realised that. I just used your pic because it was striking.
