Can anyone give me an idea of what the average pricing is for a 1mbps WIMAX service..?

Telkom WiMax only goes up to 512mbps and costs R269 excl ISP.

Whymax?

Can anyone give me an idea of what the average pricing is for a 1mbps WIMAX service..?

Here are some threads and links that should help:

The question is why? In CT there are two epic options -
ADSL if you need very low latency and/or huge data throughput (my MWEB performs brilliantly)
Cell C - super fast, great reception everywhere in CT, super low rates (see article on MyBB today about the 10 and 20 GB packages) and they are WAY more stable than VC. Can't comment for MTN, but them and 8ta both want a 24 month contract, so they can take a jump in my books. 12 month contract, well OK, but not 24 months.

Well check out this shocker.....R4800 per month....Telecom Namibia....Its for the Tsumeb area...

Cellphone charges are dirt cheap.....38c per minute all day any day and 40c per sms....ADSL........another story......10mbps ADSL line...R10 000 per month for residential customers....

well if you know where Tsumeb is you will see why
