Wimax down

I am in Blauberg most probably connected to the Plattekloof tower. The wireless light is not burning , only the light next to it and power.
Anyone have the same problems?

Have been holding on for Telkom support for 2 hours now

That means that you aren't registered with the radio on their tower ....

I had similar problems (periodically) with Screamer whilst they were installing a new base station.

I have been running on Wimax now for 5 months without any problems

I got someone on the line but as usual I was apparently routed to the wrong techie
He promised he will get the Wimax guy to phone me back (Yeah ?)
Seems to me they have only one technie on duty for he weekend - great

My wimax is up again. I must say I have mixed feelings about the experience. A CR Did phone me back and was helpfull and logged the fault. By the time I got back home all was well. But just the fact that I wasted 30 minutes of cell airtime hanging on,having to go to work an hang on for another 2 hours just pissed me off . I would like to subject some Telkom exec to listen to the 2 songs I had to endure over and over for 2 hours and see how they feel
