WiMax in Midrand

there's wimax in midrand? didn't know that.

How's the 'air rental' treating you :)
 
Yes there is where I am staying, Noordwyk. Can't complain about it, this is the first week I have had problems with it since I have it installed 6 months ago.
 
This morning again. Phone the guy who installed my WiMax and he said I should phone Telkom... HAHAHA!
 
From yesterday till even today "still no connectivity, this is really odd. Helkom whats wrong? I can't go another day without internet connection, we use the internet for Business (Hosting).
 
@ Frikkenator, I think we might be useing the same basestation as you, as I can see it from my house and it looks like it might be between my house and centurion.

The whole weekend I was without my WiMax. I kinda worked on saterday night, but I was dling at about 10kb/s, uploads where fine. Yesterday, nothing! :-( Don't know about today though.
 
Called Telkom technical support, as always they dont have a clue what i am talking about. Then I tried the wimax support Dept, i was on hold for an hour, i will try again later.
 
Just got a confirmation that the problem was resolved (Midrand Tower), i just submitted this from the Wimax connection.

But then again we still dont know what was the problem.
 
I have been using Wimax in Midrand for 4 months now - have had NO problems with the connection - however I use a router and i have found that when I had a problem (once) resetting the router solved the problem.

You might be lucky enough to be on a different base station then. I tried everything, nothing worked, until Monday when it just started working out of the blue again.
