Wimax News Server

Hi there,

Was just wondering if anyone else has been using Wimax from mweb recently and been having the same problem as me... the problem is that when using grabit and using news.saix.co.za as my server it keeps telling me that (whatevergroup) does not exist on this server.

Is it just me? Is there a reason why? Can anyone help me?

Grabit started doing this more often to me till I switched to alt.binz

Tried altbinz when i got home and it didnt work like a bomb... it just didnt work can anyone suggest anything else?

Admittedly it's a bit harder to configure

Your comment that it just didn't work is a bit insufficient to judge

Well I've run it here at work and it works perfectly on IS before and after I configured it.

Its only at home when using Wimax does it not work. at home i can update all the news groups (alt., alt.binaries.dvd, alt.binaries.games, etc) but it just wont download any nzbs. It says downloading... but it does nothing... so thats how it just doesnt work

/me = WiMax + WA saix account + Alt.binz = working nicely when the server isn't overcrowded

/me = WiMax + Mweb = fail on IS and SAIX

It was working fine up till a week ago.

The past 3 days news.saix.net as been uselessly slow, but it is still dling. You don't have a different pc to test on?

Ive tested on 3 different pc's at home and all of them don't download any nzbs... its completely bizzare and I got no idea why.

Have you tried only one nzb file or is it different one?

Ive tried endless amounts of nzbs since this started, both cached and unchached ones.

I am starting to feel the same as you, I am dling 300mb a day, that's how slow it is... Maybe the problem is just on the news server... Hope so and hope they sort it out.
