Wimax + POTs

Does anyone know if Telkom are able to run POTs over Wimax?

My ADSL line died for 1.5 weeks and they are no longer going to maintain any copper in my area (cable theft).
Last week I got a call from Telkom saying that they are going to replace my ADSL line with Wimax but I couldn't find out if I will retain the telephone line.

just get a Voip solution from mweb or Vox ?

The Vox product isn't so bad if you don't have to pay line rental.

That's an idea.
Only thing is I'd want a handset that doesn't need to run off a PC and those won't be cheap. Some of those SIP handsets run into the thousands of Rands.
