You have a US copy, try download UK English language pack.

Aren't you able to type the format that you want?

Change language to English UK in language, location and units. While you're at it, change the decimal point delimiter from "," to "." .

I thought this was a thread about winning a date format :erm:

The original Customize Format is still available, seems exactly the same as it always was. Go to Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region and click on Change date, time, or number formats

Will give it a bash. Thanks. I changed my region to English (United States) to do the upgrade. Actually feeling quite stupid now for posting this in the first place. Oh well, it's Monday anyways.

I'm aware, but I've found it much easier to use a "." in excel documents as well as writing code for variables with decimal points ^_^
I agree. If we were meant to use a comma they should have designed our numeric keypads to use a comma instead of a dot. ;)
