ok, so I was an idiot...just thought I'll get that out of the way before I continue, because thats what this comes down to really.
After getting frustrated by some issues I had on my home gaming/main pc I decided I'll be a wise crack and install win 7 while waiting for it to finally appear in stores, doing so because I was rather pleased with some tests ran on the beta at work. It worked fine for a while...that was until it expired. I ran the timenuker crack/patch thing to anihilate the the timer and to let it. I thought everything was dandy and I will be able to run the beta until the official beast is released.
But alas, all were not whell in win7 beta heaven because then the built in win7 beta 2 hour restart thing settled in about a week ago, microsofts way of telling you to get down with the RC of win7. But this is really a miff point for me now, I dont want to reinstall windows for various reasons....
my question is, does anybody by some chance maybe have a fix/solution for this bug? If so please please pleaaaseee share it with me!

Windows 7 RC build 7100?

I have the RC and it keeps telling me to activate windows in 30 days!?!?

yea but that whould require a reinstall right? or can one just upgrade to 7100?

You can upgrade. There is a thread on this forum with instructions/links to the upgrade crack. I upgraded mine when I had about two hours left. Works fine for now. Just some issues with waking up when it shut down to sleep, was Ok with the Beta. Anyway I will live with it until the final release.

Type in one of the RC keys...

After reading some forums a while back they made it quite clear to NOT put in any of the keys during the install, but rather later on... a point kinda missed on my side... well the notification to activate in 1 day came and went and its still running (touch wood) so im not even breathing heavily around the PC as long as it boots up with no hassles :D:D

Do what i have done and set your bios and windows date back to june 15th until the windows 7 RTM is released on 14th of this month.

I tried everything and only going back in time helped my windows 7 install run like a dream.

As discussed in the other thread:
To upgrade from beta you need to:

- Extract the .iso contents to a storage location you wish to run the upgrade from (a bootable flash drive
or a directory on any partition on the machine running the old build).
- Browse to the sources directory.
- Open the file cversion.ini in a text editor like Notepad.
- Modify the MinClient build number to a value lower than the down-level build. For example, change 7100 to 7000.
- Save the file in place with the same name.
- Run setup.exe like you would normally and the version check will be bypassed.

If you're not upgrading:
Burn and mount, boot from it.
