Hi There,

I have a weird issue here:

In Windows XP Disk Managament, my drives disappeared and is not listed anymore. The only drive I am able to manage is the CD/DVD-Rom drive.

I was in SP1, upgraded to SP2, no result. Even upgraded to SP3. Same story.
AV-Scans
Spyware Scans

NADA, niks, zilch. Any advise?

Thx

Akkie

maybe try deleting your disk controller from device manager and then reboot the computer and allow Windows to redect it and reload the drivers.

Do they appear in the bios?

No point trying to fix windows if the drives do not appear in the bios.

which is a moot point - how did he manage to start windows up without any drives in the BIOS?

Might be driver corruption somewhere - does the same thing happen in safe mode?

And what are you using? SATA, PATA or SCSI?

I have one machine with 1 X IDE Drive also, I have one Dell E6400 with SATA drive. Same story

Are you using Norton Systemworks or any similar 3rd party utility?
