pls help. I have a macbook, and a desktop running Win7... Browsing on the macbook is easy and only disconnects very very seldomly... But on my windows PC, it keeps disconnecting to the internet (Not the WiFi, just the internet) constantly. Is there a way to solve this?

I use: ZyXel G302- v3 as a wireless reciever on my Pc
Billion 400g as modem/router
Win7 ultimate
Mweb (uncapped 4mb)

Wifi strength and Quality? try another WIFI card maybe a cheap USB wireless N card like the TP-link with an external aerial.
Sometimes the wifi looks connected with the icon, but there is no data being transmitted.

If the PC is connected via network cable, why would it disconnect?

Network cable disconnection virus. Going around big time at the moment. I also heard that guys making the newer network cables are hiding a major fault that is making everything disconnect randomly.

Network cable disconnections could easily happen if you don't use a CAT 5e/6 cable for 1Gbps connections...

My guess is just that the wireless receiver / AP is crappy.

I have tried changing my network card, and moving my modem closer (Signal is 100% now). I never said that i was using a lan cable, i meant that the internet is cutting out, not the Wifi connection.

The modem should connect to at least one PC over a cable.
