Hey~

I have just installed window 7 x32 (86 or something) And then when the computer starts up, it seems really fast, but then it slows down alot after the start up is done.

My computer stats are:

3.0GHz
2GB Ram
500GB space
GF 6600 256MB

I have tried looking on the internet for solutions.. and all i found was: svchost.eve thing.... and I don't think it was the problem that I was having...

On my task management, there is hardly anything running on it..

When I watch avi vidoes it lags like hell... (picture frames type... terrible!!)

So if anyone can help me with my problem, it well be great!

THanks

In task manager have you clicked on "Show processes for all users"?

Hey~

Well, i'm just using the normal Nvida drivers

CPU, it's just a single core... P4

Even if i show all process, there is nothing using so much of the CPU...

(This is the second time i installed window7, the first time it worked fine.. but now.. weird..)

Yeah update your bios, load the latest drivers.

If all else fails send a screen print of your task manager showing processes from all users.

Upgrade Bios drivers

Hey~

I would like to know, how do you "upgrade" the drivers of the Bios... Like do I download the driver... (But how do I find out about the Bios make and all... How do I actually get the proper driver?)

Sori for all Window 7 lovers... I dropped out on Window 7, went back to window XP Pro, For me, Window 7 is still the best I have ever used... between Apple, vista, XP, ME, 98... and all, but I can say one thing after using Window 7, and that is, Window 7 is not stable yet... even though it is good, but there is no point when it keeps getting error...

For those for dis-agree with me, where you window 7 works fine. That is really awesome and lucky for you... I hope it stays that way, but for me, I was not so lucky to get it...

Anyway...

Thanks

Your cpu seems slow because it is slow. I'm running the same cpu at work on XP and it's awful. Not everything is win7's fault....technology has moved on 2 generations already since that cpu came out.

If the CPU is spiking you just need to look at the task manager and identify which processes are causing it. You'll find it'll be a single culprit most likely then just disable it.

I see.. wel you know not everyone has the money and time to upgrade... it's expensive these days to have a new computer...

With all the software, hard ware and all

But I'll be sticking with window XP

Sounds like the best idea since you cannot seem to find out which process is using the cpu which is rather easy i think xp is best :D.

I second the indexing comment.
Had exactly the same problem on my Vista machine.
Either turn the indexing off or leave the pc on overnight so it can complete the job without bugging you.
