Apologies if this has been asked before.

I switched to W 10 during lunch hour and everything seems brilliant, with the one exception being that I seem to have lost Kaspersky.

Normally it wouldn't be a train smash, however, I only installed the program last week and it cost a fortune.

How do I get it back?

I had the same issue with Bitdefender. 1) Install the CD or run the install file 2)Don't do a fresh install, there should be a choice to repair Kaspersky. It worked for me, Hope it works for you

Look at the notifications in the action centre, there might be a message that allows you to update Kaspersky. On my side I got it working by uninstalling and reinstalling Kaspersky, followed by an automated update.

Thanks guys - I will give it a go.

I won't be able to do a fresh install, as I have already used it for my pc and laptop.

My existing license information was retained after the reinstall.

Sjoe.......Did it work?

NO! :(

Now I am getting a message saying that I don't have a licence - when I follow all of the links, I see that I need a patch for Kaspersky 2015 - downloading now - if that doesn't work, I'm in the dwang! :(

Now I'm going nuts - I downloaded the patch ( 169 MB), clicked on it, and it immediately started downloading again...another 169 MB -

Why use Kaspersky? Windows 10 comes with MSE (Windows Defender) and it's more than capable. Though if you want you can use Malwarebytes on top (I don't).

I already had Kaspersky ( paid for last week) so I thought that I would simply carry on with it.

I now have Kaspersky showing, but God only knows if its actually working! :(

I wouldn't say 'caught', there's no evidence.

Note that Kaspersky at one stage caught other company stealing their database. It is also a source for the earlier allegations.
