There's nothing sneaky about it. Microsoft made it clear ages ago that they'd be migrating control panel settings to the settings app. You just like to complain.

Source please, as a Microsoft user and MCSE certificate holder I have received no communication surrounding this.

If your source is a media website then good for you, and a big FU to Microsoft as its not my job to sniff around the web for their sketchy practices

There's nothing sketchy about replacing the old with the new. If it was bothering you so much, you could have asked Gabe Aul or whoever; Nobody's gonna scratch your itch for you. Should they let you know the next time they change an icon colour too?Which they actually did during development, but then you want special correspondence, so you can b*tch about those annoying Microsoft emails detailing their evil ways.

Have you tried opening up the properties of bash? Right Click at the top of the bash window > properties > options > tick quick edit mode

I have not. I opened it checked it and realised.... /meh

Putty is alright, I already have all my VPSes saved in putty.

Try mobaXterm, works well for me. Prefer it over putty.
MobaXterm will automatically pull in all your saved servers too
