Windows 10 bug causes Wi-Fi problems

my wifi is totally dead . 1st it stopped and whenever I plugged the router it magically used to come back but now totally dead

Have had this issue with 2 laptops already. All the windows 7 machines are fine

Stopped using fast start up a very long time ago. Only experienced it once recently on my PC. My daughter's machine was set for fast start -- she experienced the problem quite often. Changed her settings and the problem went away.

I do not think this is the root cause though, it is only aggravated by fast start up.

What I noticed on my machine is that it recovered all by itself after 15 minutes ....

I have fast startup enabled. Never had a wifi issue even once with 10.

I thought my router was playing up - but this sounds like exactly the problem. Damn.

Had this issue on a number of our computers.
DHCP server shows the IP as being issued, but gives errors if trying to delete/renew the lease, and the PC itself reverts to the 169.x.x.x range.

A ipconfig /release and then /renew fixes the issue though.

I've not had a problem with my wifi. However, my laptop battery icon goes missing from time to time and I have to put it back each time. Once it came back by itself. My volume button went missing once too.

Yeah had this problem too, I had to revert the network adapter's driver update to get it to work.

Windows10 could be so great if only one could choose your updates like back in the day!

i also got this bug, uninstalled the update and network was fine. i got the lastest network drivers for my card and did the update, all working now

if something stop working try to uninstall whatever the last update was in windoze10
