Windows 10 collects excessive personal data

I'm still looking for an excuse to install that OS and this is not helping.

Funny enough, I was actually hoping to see a headline like "South African High Court orders Microsoft to stop collecting user data"

For tech minded people I find it bizarre that folks around here don't seem to give a toss about their privacy. Do some of these "screw privacy" people get paid to advocate this garbage?

"Arguing that you don’t care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don’t care about free speech because you have nothing to say." - especially rings true in SouthAfrica where our Gov is tightening the noose.

MS working with Goverment, "law enforcement" & surveillance, do you really want everything you do on your PC known to who knows how many 3rd parties?

Apathy on surveillance, clearly just as big an issue here.

Before I read....Christian Science Monitor....that sounds like a site I would not visit if I am not interested in conspiracy theories and scaremongering. I did not read, so I may be wrong.

Also, I do not give a fck. I am not going to make an issue out of this out of principle. I am not being hampered or prevented from doing whatever I want to do on my PC.
