Look at this interesting bit of news. Looks like the Mobile Anniversary Update can be expected from 9 August 2016.

Not on ZA phones yet.

You're fortunate to have one of the older phones that made it to the Mobile 10 list. Is it a carrier phone, if so, did you have to force the update through the Upgrade Advisor app?

The Lumia 830 is a great phone - best I've ever had. Bought it through Orange - it's not locked to any carrier (if I understand you correctly).

The update happened automagically - I did not force the update. No problems encountered.

Yip, it's a great phone. My brother-in-law lost his a few weeks ago, replaced it with a L640 which is very similar in all aspects. Update on my L640XL just completed, got a notification that says "Welcome to Lumia Denim" hehehe...

Are you sure it's Anniversary Update? There was an update to the previous build a few days before this Big One.

In Settings/System/About, what's the OS build? Mine's 10.0.14393.67.

Oops my bad, I bet you're right - my OS version is 1511, build 10.0.10586.545. What's the version number of the Big One?

Me loves unlocked
Just for the sake of clarity of Locked versus Unlocked look here.
My 950XL running on VOD-ZA still has not updated and we are not part of any insider/preview program. Locked Phones are illegal in the RSA in terms ICASA rulling . We are of the understanding that VOD-ZA (a) First test/scrutinize the intended upgrade (b) These websites reporting on upgrades have made a mistake by using the words "Locked/Unlocked" instead of "Country Variant" devices.(c) Ms delayed the update.
NB: All RSA Phones should function on European/UK network RF frequencies for GSM/Edge/3G/Lte because they are deemed Unlocked phones. The problems arise with USA networks.

On Vodacom, I havn't got the update yet on my 640. The main fix I am looking for is improved battery life (which reading the insider logs, its meant to have), my battery seems to drain faster on Windows 10 than it did on Windows 8.1.
